You’ll also eat vegetables that have a low glycemic index, eggs, and low fat cheese. You will avoid foods with a high to moderate high glycemic index which includes candy, fruit, grains, cereals, breads, and sugar. You’ll loose from 8 to 12 pounds. For just 2 weeks that’s pretty impressive. This is the start to your new lifestyle.
 
Phase II - After that it gets even easier. During the second phase you can begin to slowly reintroduce some of the foods you weren’t allowed to eat during the first phase. This is when whole grain foods and fruits are gradually reintroduced to your diet in smaller amounts than before and you also still continue to focus on low glycemic index foods. This is the phase you stay on until you reach the weight you want to be, then it’s on to the maintenance phase where you’ll be for the remainder of your life. Strawberry Chicken Salad
 
This dinner salad is light, and refreshing.
 
Ingredients
 
• ½ lb. grilled boneless skinless chicken breast, grilled
• 6 cups spinach and lettuce
• 3 cups sliced strawberries
• ¼ cup sunflower seeds
• 2 oz. Parmesan
 
Toss the greens then add ¼ cup of vinegar salad dressing. Arrange the balance of the ingredients on top of your greens.
 
Harvest Swiss Steak
 
Ingredients:
 
• 4 cubed beef steaks
• 4 sliced garden tomatoes
• 1 sliced medium sized onion
• 1 sliced green pepper
• salt and pepper
• olive oil spray
 
Heat the oil in a skillet heat up the oil and brown the cube steaks on both sides. Place 3 seared cube steaks in the bottom of the crock pot. Cover layering the veggies. Add the rest of the meat and top with remaining vegetable. Cook on low for 6 hours.
