<p style="text-align: justify;">That’s because avocado fat is a monounsaturated fat which makes the heart happy. Monounsaturated fat helps to raise HDL levels which is the good cholesterol that protects your arteries and cleans them.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Saturated Fats</strong> – these are the fats that are harmful to you increasing your cholesterol levels.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Polyunsaturated Fats</strong> – these fats don’t increase cholesterol levels nor do they lower them. They are considered harmless.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Monounsaturated Fats</strong> – like the fat found in avocados are beneficial to you lowering your cholesterol levels.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The nutritional facts associated with Avocados include 22g of Fat with only 3g of saturated fat, no transfats, and 11mg of sodium. There is 13g of carbohydrates, 10g of dietary fiber, 1g of sugar, and 3g of protein. That’s a lot of health packed into one fruit. More nutritional information is available online.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You can buy avocadoes in most grocery stores, but you can even grow your own avacodo fruit trees. It’s really quite simple. Just open the avocado and take the pit out from the center. Rinse the pit and blot it dry. There are excellent how to grow your own avocado tree online, so why not give it a try?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A study was recently conducted in Brisbane Australia. The results showed that middle age women who ate avocadoes every day for three weeks were able to improve their cholesterol levels by 8% and even more important was the fact that the HDL cholesterol ratio improved 15%. All that from one fruit. Impressive!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Heart patients can expect to cut their risk of heart attack by 10% to 20% by eating avocados and they will also decrease their risk of death by 4% to 8% over a 3 to 5 year period. Those numbers would be hard to beat even with a pill. What could be better? Substantial health benefits combined with great taste.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We mentioned the monounsaturated fat but Avocados hold another secret &#8211; Beta-sitosterol. Beta who? Is that a new type of Guacamole? No but if it was it would sell like hot cakes because of its power to lower cholesterol. This is a beneficial plant based fat that is packed with more cholesterol smashing qualities.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It works by blocking the amount of cholesterol absorbed from food. The avocado is from the persea Americana and it has higher levels of beta-sitosterol than any other fruit. It’s too bad this nutritional information wasn’t available at a much earlier time. Imagine all the people it could have helped.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Beta sitosterol is actually a combination of natural components which includes brassicasterol, campersterol, stigmasterol, and beta-sitosterol common in many plants but in the largest quantities in the avocado.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you don’t want to eat plain ole avocados there are plenty of recipes available online where you can enjoy the nutritional value that avocados have to offer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Heart disease including cholesterol is a big health concern. Depending on prescriptions drugs isn’t really the answer. Prevention through our food system and through nutritional supplements is a much better option. Why not add avocadoes to your diet and start to enjoy the benefits.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The FDA is trying to pass a law that would make it virtually omnipotent in it’s ability to control all foods, drugs, and supplements. Steps are being taken to make researching foods and ingredients and deciding the potential risks in the same fashion as that with drugs.</p>

</a>Essentially the FDA is creating a carte blanche situation for themselves to be able to decide what foods and supplements are good for you and can deem those with even minute risks a harmful ingredient and ban its use.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The FDA, like so many other government bodies, is siding with industry as opposed to what its main concern should be- the health of the American people. Already studies have shown that FDA approved levels of insecticides allow for ample protection of fruits and vegetables but at the cost of being harmful to humans over a long period of time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is a glaring injustice that supports the fact that the FDA is willing to cut deals with companies and hedge the health levels of Americans.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The larger issue now stands that the FDA, already infamous for siding with corporations, is now on the verge of having laws passed that give the same judgment of foods as they do drugs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For example, when one has a headache one would take the prescribe dosage of aspirin. If aspirin is taken in too large a quantity it can have adverse effects on the body. Thus the FDA, by way of their drug risk/benefit analysis, can ban aspirin from the market, since at extreme levels or if abused can be harmful to the body.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now expand this example to foods and health supplements that have wonderful uses at appropriate doses and have been used for hundreds of years. With new laws that are possibly being passed, the FDA will now have the ability to ban any food or ingredient due to it having an adverse effect at any level.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is speculated that these laws are being pushed through Congress to help stimulate the sluggish pharmaceutical industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is well known that the head of the FDA comes from a large pharmaceutical background and is most likely willing to play ball with the heads of these corporations. Unfortunately, the integrity of the FDA is being compromised by its concern for big pharma within the market place and its want to have more control over health supplements that are unregulated.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The seeming results are that the FDA will take away the choice for Americans to adopt natural health choices and put all health related supplements into the eager hands of the big pharmaceutical companies.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In the end, the legislation passing through government now is setting up the FDA to be able to squash any attempts at healing through alternative medicine.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">There are things you can do to build muscle, get ripped, and look great in no time at all. One of the best no nonsense programs for muscle building is <a href="http://www.yourhealthreporter.com/blog/build-muscle/who-is-vince-delmonte-can-you-trust-him">Vince DelMonte’s program</a>. He’s put his money where his mouth is. This once skinny guy now packs a six pack, muscle mass, and promotes the program he used to get ripped.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The first thing you need to realize is that it’s actually the muscle industry hasn’t been exactly truthful and that all those supplements, busting your butt at the gym 6 days a week, and eating just the right foods isn’t what you need to do to get ripped.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Building muscle mass isn’t as complex as they would like you to believe. The first thing you need to do is dump out the supplements that are doing nothing for your muscle building.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">First let’s look at the four steps to muscle building according to Vince. It’s the simplest weight training routine you’ll ever use.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1.</strong> Make a commitment to lift weights a 3 to 4 times each week. What you want to do is stimulate your muscles using resistance. This is what causes you to gain mass. Rest is as important as the your weight training routine. So go home and rest the muscle and let it heal. Feed it right (more about that later) and it will grow big. You just need to continue to repeat the process. You should be working out every 72 hours.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2.</strong> To gain weight and build muscles you need to eat 5 to 7 times a day. Forget the big meals and go for many small balance meals that include a balance of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are trying to build muscle then you must eat at least 15 times your body weight. Carbs should make up 45% of your diet, fat 20%, and protein 35%. The majority of your meals should be made up of solid foods not liquid replacement supplements.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>3.</strong> Stretch, stretch, and then stretch some more. It’s the biggest error in bodybuilding and in any weight training routine. Stretching helps to keep the tissue at it’s normal length.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Remember weight training shortens it and so over time without stretching it will become bigger but slower and weaker and much more likely to become injured. You need to spend half as much time stretching as you do muscle building, so if your weight lifting is for 3 hours a week then your stretching should be for an additional 1 ½ a week.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>4.</strong> If you are going to take supplements make sure they have been on the market for a minimum of 3 years. Avoid new supplements and you can avoid all the wasted money on marketing hype. Most supplements are long gone by the 3 year mark and the few remaining you can consider. What you want to consider is a good multi-vitamin, fish oil, and protein powder.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking of protein powder do you really need it? It’s not absolutely necessary to gain muscle mass but it’s difficult to get the needed 400 grams of protein per day in food.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Protein supplements are actually a much easier and much more affordable way to get the necessary amount of protein. But at the end of the day they are still a supplement and there’s nothing that can outperform whole foods. Most of your protein should come from eggs, fish, and poultry.</p>
