It’s rare to find a company that just seems to have it all, but I have recently found exactly that! The Wu Yi Tea Company needs a big shout out, not only for their great product line, but for many other reasons.
FIRST, let me point out that this is NOT the Wu Yi Source Company. Wu Yi Source is a fraudulent company that “gave” free trials of their tea for a small shipping fee and then lured the customers into an auto-ship program. The Wu Yi Tea Company even offers to take your calls via Skype if you were scammed by Wu Yi Source.
In addition, The Wu Yi Tea Company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and is a part of the BBB online reliability program. When you order products online, it’s always a good idea to check for these important factors. It’s not to say that only companies with the BBB seal are reliable because there are fees for having the seal and some start-up companies may need to wait a bit before affording this expense.
The Wu Yi Tea Company is based out of Austin, Texas. Their tea is grown in the Wu Yi Mountains in China. Wu Yi tea is oolong tea so named for this mountain chain. In other words, it cannot be wu yi tea unless it is grown there much like you couldn’t call a potato an Idaho potato if it didn’t grow in Idaho.
The company believes strongly in providing a quality product while keeping in mind fair trade practice. Everything is taken into account, including the sanctity of the ecological system where it is grown and fair pay for the growers. Even the tea bags are non-bleached, which is better for your health and the environment.
The tea itself is organic and certified by the USDA. This means there were no chemicals or other artificial means used during any stage of growing or processing. Again, better for you and better for the environment.
Enough about the company, though, let me tell you a bit about their products. They have 6 different teas as well as a slimming supplement.
The slimming supplement contains wu yi and green tea extracts, citrus aurantium (bitter orange), garcinia cambogia, ginseng and guarna. It stimulates fat metabolism, controls appetite and provides natural energy. Though most people won’t feel jittery taking this mild energy booster, if you are sensitive to ginseng you shouldn’t use this supplement.
As well, if you are diabetic or have Alzheimer’s, you should not take this either because of the effect some of the ingredients have on blood glucose and acetylcholine production in the brain. People of decent health should not be affected by either of these actions and in fact, these are the actions that help you lose weight.
It’s also important to note that neither the tea nor the slimming supplement will work very well if you do not follow a healthy diet and moderate exercise program. You may notice a little weight loss regardless of your other efforts, but the effects will not continue nor be lasting without other lifestyle modifications.
